Feast of St. John the Evangelist

Today marks the Feast of St. John the Evangelist.

Masons have long celebrated the Feast of St. John the Evangelist and Saint Andrew's Lodge is no exception as our archives show a long history of marking the date. For example, the minutes of December 27, 1804 record the installation of officers for the year 1805, "after which the Lodge was adjourned until 4 o'clock, when they dined in conjunction with the several Lodges in this town under the Grand Banner, and spent the evening with that conviviality and Brotherly Love which has ever distinguished the Craft."
